Civil Unions Divide the GOP Family

Gov. Rell and other top state GOP elected officials are apparently not on the same page when it comes to civil unions as state GOP chair William A. Hamzy . Rell, Congressman Shays and Simmons and House Minority Leader Robert Ward (North Branford). Story here.

It's too bad that the Republican State Central Committee hasn't recognized that protecting and providing stability for all families is good for not only those families, but for their neighborhoods and cities as well. Hopefully, the Connecticut legislature will do the right thing this year and become the first state to pass civil unions without being forced to do so by the courts.
